Our HSE Commercial Air Diver is a title given by CDT that encompasses our three main courses:
HSE Professional SCUBA
HSE Surface Supplied Diver
HSE Offshore Top-Up
All our training courses are available individually. However, by enrolling in the HSE Commercial Air Diver course we also offer a complete personal equipment package with significant savings and extra benefits.
It includes the following for an additional fee of only £200, providing large savings over purchasing the equipment separately:
- O3 Drysuit and Undersuit
- CDT overalls (Fire Retardant) and CDT T-shirt
- Hard hat, safety glasses and gloves
- Life jacket
- Fladen Two piece foul weather/flotation gear
- SUBMEX Professional Diver’s Hand Book
- Professional Divers Log Book
- Training literature
All Students attending CDT courses must provide their own safety boots and additional daily work clothing.
Q: Why do all my training at once? Why not do one course at a time and earn money and experience as I progress?
A: If you can attend for the full 9 weeks it means you are ready for any job, if you only have Professional SCUBA but wish to be part of projects other than Media, Archeological or Scientific you will find employment limiting. You will definitely need HSE Surface Supplied if you wish to work under the HSE Inland/Inshore ACoP, and if you are doing 8 weeks of training you might as well do 9 and save money on the equipment package worth approx £1000.00 for only an additional £250.00, you’ve just effectively got the OTU for half price!
Q: You only offer one package deal without additional courses, why?
A: At this stage in your career you only need the basic diving qualifications and time in the water to build your experience and confidence, additional qualifications gained at dive school have little credibility when you are fresh out of training. At CDT we give you the best diver training and more in-water time because this is what you need. During the CDT HSE Surface Supplied course you will also receive extensive tools training, FREE! You need to get valuable time in the water, you might as well spend that time constructively to prepare you for industry.
Q: £11,000.00 is a lot of money, what hidden costs are there?
A: NONE…During your 9 week stay we provide ALL food and accommodation (aboard the DSV’s) and specialised equipment from when you join the vessel each Sunday evening to when you step ashore each week at the end of the working day each Friday, you are then free to go home and enjoy your weekend off. Being based in the Southwest we are ideally placed for students to be able to travel home at weekends, or if you wish to stay in this beautiful part of the country we can advise you how to make the most of the surrounding area.
